Poor little Diego. Being the smallest boy in Middle School was tough enough, especially when since he was kind of a jerk. But being the new kid made matters even worse. Nonetheless, he was determined to fit in. It was his right after all.
When the popular boys invited him to join their group, he said yes instantly, without really paying attention to what he had to do to join them.
Valentina and Emilia were not your ordinary 7-year-old twins. They were quite different.
It wasn’t because they were conjoined, but rather because they thought everyone else should be.
It started off innocently enough, with them tearing apart their dolls and giving them extra heads, just like them.
But that got boring fast.
Don’t be fooled by the Queen’s youthful and somewhat innocent appearance. A few years back, at the age of 87, she made a terrible pact with the devil. He would restore her youth, health and beauty in exchange for her soul. She agreed instantly, before realizing that the secret ingredient to being young again was eating the hearts of her dead relatives.
Helga caught her sister, Olga, with her lover, Señor Esqueleto. This always happened to her.
To get back at both of them she transformed her sister into a frog and used her as part of the ingredients for her poison stew.

My favorite moment in April was definitely creating so many light boxes out of paper. Prior to this monthly challenge, I was creating a light box a month. I did not think I would be able to create six light boxes that were so detailed in one month, but I did it, and I couldn’t be happier with the end result.
To represent my favorite moment, I created little paper people that would be the witch’s friends, along with a few more props, like scissors, a craft knife and a piece of paper with a paper person cut out.
I decided from the start that the setting for the arachnophobia light box was going to be a movie set. I wanted it to have some movie set elements, like a camera, a light, and the x to mark the spot where the actress was supposed to stand. However, I also needed to create the background base to house the set of the movie.
The first step was creating the base. I decided on a blue (teal-ish) paper to be the background walls and brown for the floor. I constructed those, added a bit of marker to give them a bit of texture, and then put them together. I added some wall trimming to separate the two and make it look more like a room.
This prompt was perhaps the simplest to create. I wanted the main character, in the arachnophobia light box, to grow spider legs after having had some special cupcakes.
For this challenge, I wanted to have the wounded people be outside the window. The wounded would be victims of the voodoo witch’s wrath.
I knew these characters would be super tiny, so that would be somewhat of a challenge. I wanted each one of them to be connected to one of the elements. So I made someone who was drowning, someone who was falling off a tree, someone who was burning in their house, and someone else who was blowing in the wind.
Right from the start, I wanted to create a tall and lean man coming out of the building. So I began by sketching him out. I didn’t originally intend for the windows on the right building to be covered, but I realized I wasn’t going to achieve the look I wanted if I didn’t cover them.
