Right from the start, I wanted to create a tall and lean man coming out of the building. So I began by sketching him out. I didn’t originally intend for the windows on the right building to be covered, but I realized I wasn’t going to achieve the look I wanted if I didn’t cover them.

After I sketched him out, I cut him out and attached him with tape to the building. I decided then to cut out eyes and a mouth and add light to that part of his body. So I cut a hole in the base where his head would go. I really liked the extra creepiness factor it added.

Once I was pleased with the look, I added a bit of color, mostly with colored pencils and a bit of metallic marker to the head and face area and glued him down.

This creature was not extremely exciting to make, but I do think it added substantially to the look and feel of the overall piece.

Only four more days to go and this challenge will be complete.
