My 90 Day Art Challenge is almost coming to a close. While I have not been great at working on paper art every single day, I have learned so much in the process.
Throughout the past few months, I have continued to look at other artists to find inspiration, particularly in those moments when I feel stuck or when I encounter obstacles.
Looking at other artists’ work helps me see how the pros tackled certain areas that I find difficult (like making hair look more textured and three dimensional) and they have helped me find solutions that work and help me grow as an artist.
I recently found the beautiful work of Kelly Pousette (click on name to visit her website). I was absolutely blown away. One thing that I try to include in each one of my art pieces is a light or glow that brings to life my pieces. Kelly has definitely mastered this.
Her pieces are like none other that I have seen. Some of my favorites are definitely the ones that have a light shinning through them. They have so much warmth and magic and they make me want to live in her pictures. I hope to be able to evoke these same emotions through my pieces.
I have included some of my favorite pieces by Kelly. Please make sure you check out her work and follow her along her journey. She is bound to create even more amazing work and I, for one, can’t wait to see it.
